Link Up
Link Up is an interactive music experience for Grades 3–6 students in Regina and southern Saskatchewan. Students learn songs to sing and play on recorder throughout the winter semester culminating in an interactive concert at the Conexus Arts Centre with the RSO! More than 3,000 students and teachers from five school divisions participate each year, many experiencing a live orchestra for the first time.
RSO in Schools
Each year, the Regina Symphony Chamber Players visit 30 schools and offer an educational and engaging musical presentation. During the 2020–21 season RSO in Schools will be delivered virtually! This initiative provides an opportunity for students in southern Saskatchewan and beyond to experience orchestral music, and have fun while learning about music.
Arcola School Violin Program
The Arcola School Violin Program provides the opportunity for students at Arcola Community School to take weekly group violin lessons with RSO musicians. The students learn a variety of repertoire, perform throughout the year, and develop a love for music. The students and families also receive complimentary tickets to attend RSO concerts.
Share the Music
The RSO “Shares the Music” by offering concert tickets to children, families and other adults who otherwise do not have financial resources to attend. More than 500 tickets are provided to partnering organizations each year.
