Welcome to our 108th season! The Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO) is dedicated to delivering the highest quality live orchestral music and music education to enrich life in southern Saskatchewan. Over the course of a 39 week season, the RSO reaches over 75,000 residents through professional concerts, community outreach, and educational initiatives. Our 108th season is made even more memorable with the introduction of our new Music Director, Gordon Gerrard.

The Regina Symphony Orchestra concert program is produced six times a season for distribution free of charge to audiences at the Conexus Arts Centre and Knox Metropolitan Church. RSO programs feature concert descriptions, guest artist bios, sponsor recognition, and insight into the history of the classical music we perform. Each RSO program is distributed to approximately 4000 attendees. With an annual attendance of over 25,000, your message is delivered consistently in a program that is read cover to cover and taken home as a keepsake or used as a resource. Advertising with us ensures that your organization is seen as a leader in the marketplace, reaching an influential audience that ranges in age.

This year’s selection of concerts makes the 2016-2017 season one to remember.  With an inaugural performance by world renowned violinist, James Ehnes and multiple guest conductors during the season, our Masterworks concert series will leave you spellbound. The Regina Symphony Orchestra Players will stimulate your sense in an intimate musical experience during our Government House chamber music series. Patrons will get a chance to experience pop music in a whole new way during our Shumiatcher Pops series with the scores of Fifty Years of Bond… James Bond, Reimagining Broadway with Sarah Slean, and the charms of the Celtic Tenors. The Great-West Life, London Life & Canada Life Kids series is expanding to three concerts this season with a kick-off from Juno-Award winner entertainer Al Simmons and his Symphonic Shenanigans.  Finally, the RSO Special concert series returns with the perennial classic, Handel’s Messiah, and a sing-a-long Messiah the following day. The opportunity to witness Gordon’s inaugural season is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity that will be sure to allow viewers, both returning and new, to rediscover and reimagine the symphony.
