A tax-efficient way to support your orchestra.
When you donate securities directly to a charity, capital gains tax is eliminated, allowing you to donate more. You receive the charitable tax receipt for the market value on the date the security is received
Donate online through CanadaHelps, or have your financial advisor initiate the transfer to the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation (SSCF).
Note on End of Year Donations
It can take 10-15 business days to process a donation through Canada Helps or SSCF so it’s recommended to initiate the transfer prior by December 15 to ensure qualifying for a current year tax receipt.
