Link Up is an interactive music experience for Grades 3-6 students in Regina and southern Saskatchewan. Students learn songs to sing and play on recorder throughout the winter semester culminating in an interactive concert at the Conexus Arts Centre with the RSO! More than 3,000 students and teachers from five school divisions participate each year, many experiencing a live orchestra for the first time!

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Audience Members

Issued September 7, 2021

Following the advice of provincial health officials and noting safety issues and legitimate concerns surrounding attendance at concerts and other large events under pandemic conditions, the Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO) is issuing a requirement for all audiences over the age of 12 years to be fully vaccinated, beginning with the RSO’s first performances on Saturday, September 18.  This policy is in effect until further notice.

The decision to implement a COVID-19 vaccine policy for the RSO has been made due to rising case numbers in the Province of Saskatchewan, the additional risk posed by the Delta Variant driving those numbers, and as such, legal and health authority recommendations for organizations to have such policies in place.  The RSO also has a legal obligation to provide appropriate safety protocols for the musicians, staff, and audience members.

This policy is in effect to protect our audience, venue staff, members of the Orchestra, RSO administrative staff, and our guest artists and conductors. The RSO is therefore acting on its obligation to provide a safe workplace for all musicians and staff, and a safe space for you to enjoy the music.

If it is not possible for you to be vaccinated for medical reasons, it is required that you provide proof of a rapid antigen negative test administered no later than 24 hours prior to the performance you attend, or a PCR test completed within 72 hours prior to your concert.

Proof of vaccination is available on the My Sask Health Record website upon provision of your health card number.  Printed copies or proof kept on mobile devices are acceptable.  The immunization card received at the time of vaccination is also acceptable.

Proof of full vaccination occurring no less than 14 days prior to concert attendance or proof of a negative test result is to be provided to event staff upon arrival at the concert venue.  For patrons 12 years of age, no documentation is available, but all children that age and younger must be masked.

Adult patrons must wear a mask while attending the RSO concerts at all venues.  The RSO will have masks available at performances if you have forgotten yours.  Hand sanitizers will be onsite at all performances.

For your information, all administrative staff, guest artists, and musicians of the RSO are complying with a similar policy.

We look forward to keeping everyone safe so you can enjoy the music, as much as we enjoy performing for you!
