Marketing & Communications Manager

The Marketing and Communications Manager will work with the Executive Director and lead initiatives such as subscription and single ticket marketing campaigns, audience development, public relations and media contact, and the design and production of RSO materials. This position works closely with development and box office staff to ensure seamless communication with all stakeholders.

Education & Outreach Manager

The Education and Outreach Manager is responsible for the designing, planning, administering and promoting all RSO education and outreach programs and activities. The position will represent the RSO to other education, arts, and community groups to support, develop and build working partnerships in the community. The position works with the RSO administration team, RSO musicians, and a variety of partners to develop and manage activities that support the RSO’s strategic goals through education and community engagement.

National Audition
Assistant Principal Percussion, Regina Symphony Orchestra

Time: 9:00 AM

The RSO reserves the right to award one or both positions to qualified candidates.

Fee: Per-service fee was $95.04/svc for Asst. Principal and 84.02/svc for Section in the 2018-2019 season; 2019-2020 Collective Bargaining Agreement currently under negotiation. CBA does not include a service guarantee for per-service players; approximate service count between 70-90 services/season, distributed over a 37 week season.

Start Date: January 2020 or successful candidate’s earliest availability thereafter
Salary: 2018-2019 player salary was $1,944.54 gross pay semimonthly. 2018-19 annual salary was $35,973.89 for 37 workweeks during 39-week season term; 2019-20 CBA currently under negotiation.

Utility musicians are hired on an as-needed basis by the RSO. Per-service fee was $84.02/service for section, $106.01 for principal in the 2018-2019 season; 2019-2020 Collective Bargaining Agreement currently under negotiation.  

Hiring order of Utility musicians is according to the needs of the RSO’s repertoire and at the discretion of the Music Director and principal player of the orchestral section concerned. A successful Utility List audition does not constitute a guarantee of engagement during the season on the part of the RSO. 

The musicians of the Regina Symphony Orchestra are members of the Canadian Federation of Musicians.
