Regina Symphony Orchestra announces Gordon Gerrard as its new Music Director

The Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO) announced today that Gordon Gerrard is appointed as the Music Director for the RSO. He will assume the role of Music Director as of July 2016.

“Gordon Gerrard is the ideal choice to lead the RSO and I am excited to see the fresh perspective, passion, and talent he will bring to the city.” said Tanya Derksen, RSO Executive Director. “Maestro Gerrard is an exceptionally gifted musician and the concerts he conducted last season exemplify his wide range of experience and skill.”

Gordon Gerrard is a respected figure in the new generation of Canadian musicians. Trained first as a pianist and subsequently as a specialist in operatic repertoire, Gordon brings a fresh respective to the podium. His passion and his dedication to producing thrilling musical experiences have endeared him to his fellow musicians and the public a like.

The Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO) is proud to announce a new partnership with TD Bank Group (TD) to present the TD Soundcheck program. This program provides students and patrons under age 30 the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to RSO concerts. With this new partnership, this program has been revitalized with a new identity to engage and draw a larger under age 30 audience.
