New Music Director Search


The Regina Symphony Orchestra’s search for a new Music Director is in full swing.  During the course of the 2014-2015 season, patrons will have the opportunity to see each of six shortlisted candidates conduct a Mosaic Masterworks Concert.

The candidates will be given the opportunity to rehearse and perform with the orchestra, and experience Regina.

Candidate selection will be based on input from musicians, audience surveys (paper and electronic), RSO staff, and the selection committee.

The following is the performance schedule for this year’s New Music Director Candidates.

Symphonie Fantastique, October 25th – Boguslaw Dawidow

Prokofiev’s Fifth, November 22nd – Gordon Gerrard

A Hero’s Symphony, January 10th – Antonio Mendes

Romanza, February 14th – Ankush Kumar Bahl

Enigma Variations, March 21st – Timothy Redmond

La Belle Epoque, April 18/19 – Dietrich Paredes

The New Music Director Candidates will be available for media the week of the concert, beginning on Tuesday’s.
