Meet the Orchestra

The Regina Symphony Orchestra is a full scale professional orchestra led by the dynamic and personable Music Director, Victor Sawa.

During a 39 week season, the RSO musicians, who are all members of the American Federation of Musicians, rehearse and perform for: a pre-season outdoor concert, 8 Masterworks concerts, 5 Pops concerts, 2 family-oriented concerts, 6 double chamber concerts, and occasional special concerts including perennial favourite, Handel's Messiah.

Many musicians pursue a variety of other professions while maintaining their hectic orchestral schedule. Outside of the contributions that they make to the cultural fabric of southern Saskatchewan through their performances with the RSO; the musicians live and raise their families in Regina and area. Often there are whole families, including moms, dads, and kids, all performing together with the orchestra.
